I built MarkLab Editor because I wanted a markdown editor that actually fit my workflow. I write devblogs and technical content regularly, and I kept running into the same problems: slow or clunky preview, no frontmatter support, and no easy way to manage a folder full of posts.
So I built the tool I wanted. MarkLab Editor is a native macOS app, written in Swift and SwiftUI, designed to be fast, focused, and stay out of your way. It gives you an instant live preview, handles YAML frontmatter natively, and lets you work with entire folders of markdown files at once.
No Electron. No subscriptions. No data collection. Just a clean writing tool for people who work in markdown.
